What a week lovers! New York City Fashion Week came and left. I had the pleasure of getting behind the madness with the spring designers. Each presentation through the week expressed vibrate colors, lavish designs and exclusive invite only parties!
Since there hasn’t been a “Fashion Night Out” in the last few years due to Mayor Bloomberg banning the crazed Soho turn up, how are the fashionastias spending the launch of NYFW Spring 2016?
I along with the rest of the ladies from “The Lifestyles of the Broke & Fameless” began 2016’s Spring NYFW at the Casa De Moda Presentation. The California designer Jessica Lynn White expressed the ambitious woman and the driven woman with her unexpected edge and sensual subtle pieces.
Here’s the recap lovers:
As everyone knows, their first night of Fashion Week doesn’t end with just one presentation. On this rainy Thursday evening, myself along the with rest of “The Lifestyles of the Broke & Fameless ” attended an exclusive invite only Dusse event for the kick off of Thursday Night Football. The event consisted of spring rolls, sliders, shrimp screwers, chicken screwers, and even tacos as their passed hors d’oeuvres.
Attendees included representatives from Captial Records, tv hosts & personalities and legendary radio hosts. Not to mention a gift bag sponsored by the cognac Dusse including a cigar of your choice, lighter and a cutter.
Then Allison Mitchell Spring/Summer 2016 Presentation happened. The designer is best known for her oversized clutches all made from animal skins. The Dallas purse designer gets her materials from all over the globe (South Africa, Brazil, Italy, and France. Check her presentation out below:
A few hours later, I attended Samantha Black runway in the Apostles Ballroom. To open her show, she had singer V Bozeman from the hit sitcom “Empire”. The show was sponsored by #RichgirlzCandy and #PYNKMAGAZINE. Attendees included basketball ball player Derrek Rose, Beyonce’s stylist; Ty Hunter, and even a bad girl’s club was model in this mixxy runway. Check out the recap:
To close out my New York City Fashion week with its Spring 2016 collections, I had the pleasure of attending the D’Marsh Couture Presentation. The event took place in Soho at Coco-Mat, a bedding store. The aromas of beef pattys and apple pastries filled the room as the colorful models strutted the colorful pieces. Check my interview with the designer below:
Shoes, shoes, shoes! A special collaboration with G & D shoes sums up this awesome experience for my fashion week! Inspired by the comfortable, sexy women who works, dates and still manages to keep the same pair of heels on! These Spanish designers were featured during D’Marsh Couture Presentation.
