It’s level to the one night stand. Meet someone in the club, hit it off and now you have just added to your body count before thinking twice. Some long lasting relationships actually happen out of one night stands. Not everybody thinks of a one night stand as this disgusting, degrading thing that you’re supposed to take with you to the grave. It can in fact be done with great grace, as long as you know the rules that come along just be an adult about your actions, might just go far with this one night stand thing.

It’s Thursday night, you’re looking right and just stepped in foot to one of New York City’s hottest nightclubs “Greenhouse”. Dancing, drinking, it never occurred to you, this will be the night all rules are broken and going with the flow is the motto you believe in now. Walking to the bathroom, you see the most beautiful creature God has created, eyes lock and you instantly know “Yea, I’m going home with this person tonight”.  There are plenty of safety precautions you have to take into consideration. At this point, that’s thrown out the window, the race is on to get out the club, and get in the sheets.

So the unthinkable was done. The next morning you’re waking up to breakfast and a smile. What happened last night? Did we just? I couldn’t have, I go to church, and my mom would think I’m a whore.  Now you’re getting to know one another over a glass of orange juice, still quite shameful. After a few hours you feel as if you have just entered a fairytale. This person you had a one night stand with, judges you not it was actually their first time too. The one night stand didn’t put you down, but enlightened you that the world does this, things happen but if you act right a reward could just await in a relationship.

So why are one night stands a taboo? That phrase allowed said out loud will give a person all types of side eye stares. If people would realize, everyone is human and entitled to live their own life, the fear of exploring a one night stand wouldn’t be the unthinkable.
