Women in the media

There is a great stigma in the media against women. The depiction of women in advertisements creates pressure and stress about their appearance that inevitably leads to women feeling insecure about their outward appearance. Millenials and teenagers are now watching programs like The Bad Girls Club or Keeping Up with the Kardashians which often create a standard of beauty and “acceptable” behavior that may lead to confusion and feelings of inadequacy due to the standards set on screen.
